Funeral services for Roscoe Pennington were held Friday at Geary First Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Taylor officiating. Burial was in the North Family Cemetery in Geary, under direction of Turner Funeral Home.
Mr. Pennington died Monday in El Reno. He was born Sept. 22,1941, in Geary.
He attended Cracker Box Schools. He served in the Navy.
He lived in Oklahoma City, California and Corpus Christi before moving to El Reno in 1987. He worked as a paint contractor. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Charlette of the home; two sons, Ronnie Pennington of El Reno and Allen Pennington of Dallas; brothers, Charles Pennington of Bethany, Al Pennington of Phoenix, Ariz., and Wilby Pennington of Crab Orchard, Ky; sisters, Julia Brown of El Reno and Willie Mitchell of Hydro; and four grandchildren.
