On Find a Grave, Buck Hester and his wife are listed as being buried in unknown cemetery number 5. Buck's son, Rolling and his wife are buried in the Malone Cemetery near Frankfort, Alabama. To get to this cemetery, you must walk about a mile through a cow pasture and it is in poor condition. The Malone Cemetery is adjacent to Tollison Creek, near where Buck and his family lived. Rolling and his wife's graves are marked by tombstones with birth and death dates. Next to the graves of Rolling and his wife are two graves marked only by large stones with no writing. Roy Hester, who knew more about Hester family history than anyone was convinced that the two unmarked graves in the Malone Cemetery are the graves of Buck Hester and his wife. I am also certain that this is correct. There are cemetery records in the public library in Russellville, Alabama that say that Buck and his wife were buried in the Sparks Cemetery, near Belgreen, Alabama, where many Hesters are buried. There are no graves there with either Buck or his wife's names. The Sparks Cemetery is quite a distance from where Buck and his family lived, and it is not reasonable that he and his wife would have been buried that far away. Who knows where unknown cemetery number 5 is, and I would love to know the origin of that information.
