Ryan Patrick McDonald, 23, of Indianapolis, died on Tuesday, September 2, 2003. Ryan was a 1998 graduate of Cathedral High School and was currently a senior at Ball State University. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, and worked all of his life in support of Muscular Dystrophy. He was an Honorary Marion County Sheriff, Honorary Firefighter in Washington and Pike Township, and a member of Abate of Indiana, and Harley Owners Group (HOG). Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 6 at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Visitation will be Friday, September 5 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary, and one hour prior to the service at church. He is survived by his mother, Paula M. McDonald and Darryl Clifton; sister Shay M. Wiseman and husband Scott; father Robert R. McDonald; grandparents Elizabeth Lothamer and Charles Berhalter; 2 uncles; 2 nieces and one nephew. Ryan enjoyed the Beatles, John Lennon and the Dave Matthews Band. He was proud of Cathedral High School, his Irish Heritage, Ball State University, and was loved by many people. Ryan was an avid Colts fan and enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves. His hobbies included Cuban Cigars, writing poems and stories, and collecting JFK Memorabilia. Memorial contributions may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Family Foundation at 2330 N. Meridian St., Indpls., IN 46208.
