Betty Chamberlain, 77, of Bonner Springs, KS, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2000, at Bonner Health Center in Bonner Springs, KS. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February, 26, at the Alden-Harrington Chapel, Bonner Springs: burial in Bonner Springs Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday evening, February 25, at the Alden-Harrington Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church of Bonner Springs.
Betty was born October 9, 1922, in Kansas City, KS. She was a cafeteria manager for the Bonner Springs High School and McDanield School for USD #204 in Bonner Springs, retiring in 1987. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Bonner Springs. She would have celebrated her 59th Wedding Anniversary on St. Patrick's Day, March 17. Survivors include her husband, Tom Chamberlain of the home; one son, Toby and wife Sue Chamberlain of Elizabethtown, KY; one daughter Lainey and husband, Tom Lindblad of Bonner Springs; five sisters, Claudia DeMaranville of Bonner Springs, Norma Cook of Wichita, KS, Maryann Weninger of Wichita, Virginia Gamper of Shawnee, and Gloria Smith of Biloxi, MS; three granddaughters,Sherry Lassen of Bonner Springs, KS. Stephanie Chamberlain M.D. of Brookline, MA. and Tracy Chamberlain of New York City, NY; Three great-granddaughters, Erica Franklin, Jessica Franklin and Hannah Lassen, all of Bonner Springs, KS.
