From Dallas Morn. news dated 11.26.1940, aged 78, daughter of Dallas pioneers and native of Dallas County, died at her farm home at the Pleasant View community on Mockingbird Road just past Abrams Road where she was born and had spent her entire life. Member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church for 54 years. Daughter of Daniel Murray. Her mother was a member of the Chenault family, who settled here in early days, but Mary knew little about her mother because she had been killed during the Civil War, while Mrs. Browder was a small child. She was married to the late W. W. Browder, who died in April, 1939.
