Mrs. Effie CARR, Rochester, received word of the death of her father, Marion BURKETT, of Ora, Ind. Death occurred Friday morning in the Memorial hospital, Knox. Mr. Burkett was 64 years old and had resided in the Ora community all of his life. Besides Mrs. Carr he leaves two sons, Cecil and Alfred [BURKETT], of Ora; two other daughters, Mrs. Dollie KUHN, Logansport, and Mrs. Edna GREEN, LaPorte; twenty-nine grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at two o'clock in the Ora brick church and burial will be in the Ora cemetery.
