A native of Greenville County, son of the late Perry Earl and Lizzie Gibson Dill, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a retired diesel mechanic and of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are a daughter, Maxine D. Howell of Greer; a sister, Thelma Eaddy of Johnsonville, S.C.; three grandchildren, Kimberly Box and her husband, Eddie, of Maryville, Tenn., Rachel Rashad and her husband, Mohamed of Alexandria, Egypt and Michael Howell and his wife, Janet, of Taylors; three great-grandchildren, Alexandra Box, Elizabeth Box and Gracie Howell; and a granddaughter-in-law, Marsha Howell.
Mr. Dill was predeceased by a son, Douglas Dill; and a grandson, David Howell.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Double Springs Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Pastor Jeff Lageman and Danny Phillips.
The family is at the home of his daughter, Maxine Howell, 126 Lee Circle, Greer.
