Patricia Sue "Patty" Epperson

Patty went to be with the Lord on Sept. 29, 2008.

We were truly blessed by her presence for the years she was with us. Patty was a devout Christian who put Jesus first in her life and lived according to His commandments. She was a mighty prayer warrior for her family and friends as well as many who were not aware of her prayers. Her calling and passion in life was serving God and caring for others.

She was much loved, and touched the heart of everyone that knew her throughout her life. Patty was an educator, writer, nature and animal lover and avid golfer. She loved to travel and had recently returned from an Alaskan cruise. She was a true woman of integrity and always kept her word to others.

Patty was born on Sept. 5, 1940, to Ennis and Opal Hartgraves in Sweetwater. She was the loving wife of her high school sweetheart Jerry for 49 years, and a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Patty is survived by her husband, Jerry; two daughters, Lesley of Austin and Laurey of San Marcos; one son, Cory and wife Terilynn of Denver, Colo.; three brothers, Bob and wife Wanda of Denver, Colo., Harry of Abilene and Jim and wife Linda of Lewisville; one sister, Diane and husband Clayton Brazelton of Branchburg, N.J.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, aunts, cousins; and countless friends and loved ones.

A celebration of Patty's life will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, at the First United Methodist Church, 909 Vandeveer, in Burnet.

Memorials may be sent to your favorite charity.

Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
