Stacey "Stace" Allen Daigle, 41, of Tarkio, passed away Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008. Born Feb. 8, 1967, in Missoula, he is survived by his daughter, Shanay Daigle of Missoula; his mother, Linda Grey of Gilbert, Ariz.; father, Fred Daigle and step-mother Patti of Lozeau; sister, Elaine Ashton (husband Brian, nieces Dannielle and Sabrina, and nephew Jared) of Gilbert, and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends.

He was preceded in death by baby brother Glenn William Daigle, grandmas and grandpas Grey and Daigle and uncle Stewart Grey.

Stace graduated from Sentinel High School in 1986 where he was a four-year varsity letterman in wrestling. After high school, Stace became a horse jockey on the circuit throughout Montana and Washington. He participated with the volunteer Frenchtown Fire Department and continued to work with horses as a wrangler at the B/Bar J Ranch in Tarkio. Stace was a true cowboy at heart.

He lived life to the fullest, enjoying special times with his daughter Shanay and having a very close and loving relationship with his nieces and nephew. He was most fulfilled when outdoors, horse riding, hunting and fishing, particularly with his dad, uncles and cousins. He often said he was closest to the Lord when he was in the mountains.

He will be remembered for his infectious smile, the sparkle in his striking blue eyes, his dancing feet, his heart of gold, and the love he had for his family and friends.

Burial will be in Messiah Cemetery in Tarkio.
