CLAUDVILLE, VA ~ Mr. Kenneth Michael "Mike" Jessup, 55, husband of Vickie Anderson Jessup, passed away Monday, July 3, 2006, at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Jessup was born in Surry County, July 20, 1950, to Otis and Irene Pruitt Jessup. He was a loving husband, father and son and was a well-known, hard-working farmer. Surviving are his wife, Vickie Anderson Jessup of the home; daughters Heather Jessup of Kernersville, Jennifer Jessup of Charleston, S.C., and Courtney Jessup of the home; his parents, Otis and Irene Jessup of Claudville; brothers and sisters-in-law Dwight and Faye Jessup and David and Renee Jessup, all of Claudville; and a special grandmother, Iowa B. Anderson. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 6, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with the Rev. Tommy Smith and Speaker Revonda Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this evening, July 5, at the funeral home.
