According to Bob McKenzie, "Tuck's" son, when "Nip" and "Tuck" were small boys their farmhouse (near present-day Central Park, Lewisville, TX) burned. The family made a bed for the twins in an open chicken house where the snow filtered in during the night. Their dad exclaimed that it would be nip and tuck if the boys survived the winter weather.
