Mrs. Josie Anderson
Mrs. Josie Ila Overby Anderson, 86, of Mount Airy, N.C., died Monday, March 28, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Glenn (Sue) Creed. She was the widow of Taylor Flippin Anderson.
Born March 17, 1902 in Patrick County, she was the daughter of Jacob and Martha Mitchell Overby and was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Creed, of the home; one son, Donald Taylor Anderson of Mount Airy; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 30, in the chapel of Moody Funeral Home, conducted by Dr. Steve Rainey and Joe Bill Jessup. Interment was in Oakdale Cemetery.
