"The lights are dimmed; the curtains of her gentle heart are drawn.
Scarce had the rosy glow of early evening flushed the evening sky,
When Jesus tapped upon the casement of her soul.
No fretting and no lingering but just a backward glance to wish God's blessings and goodbyes.
For those who wait a little while, to build of dreams she left, the palaces of Heaven.
And the dreams she left were not of fortune or of place.
But just that God might give to every word and deed or hers,
a hope of heaven and happiness to come.
That her children might be stalwart both in body and in soul;
That her little deed of kindness might be making someone happy every day.
She loved the flowers and birds and little folks and made a bit of Heaven here on earth for everyone.
Jesus took her home to Heaven; but we all know that Heaven lies within our heart."
