Donald E. Bergeron, 62, of 106 Main St., a retired construction worker, died Monday, Oct. 15, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center, Worcester, after a brief illness.

He leaves his wife of 23 years, Mary C. "Lill" (Miller) Bergeron; two daughters, Donna Hayes of North Brookfield and Donna Zona of Cumberland, R.I.; his mother, Florence (Carlson) Dennett of Brookfield; two stepdaughters, Karen Huard of Spencer and Kim Powers of Danbury, Conn.; a stepson, John King of Spencer; a brother, Leo Bergeron of Brookfield; several grandchildren; two great-grandsons; nieces and nephews. He was born in Palmer, son of Leo Bergeron, and lived in Worcester before moving here more than 20 years ago.

Mr. Bergeron was a laborer for Venditti Construction Co., Leicester, retiring in 1998. He was a member of Spencer Fish & Game Club.

The funeral service was held in J. Henri Morin & Son Funeral Home, 23 Maple Terrace. Burial was in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Spencer Rescue Squad, PO Box 147, Spencer, MA 01562.
