Isaac Burleson died only a few short months after he enlisted. He never married.
His service records show that he was a PVT at the time of his death. The 2nd Liet may or may not be an error stemming from the Clarksville Confederate Hospital Cemetery Burial Index posted on www.cemeteryworks.com website. The VA was contacted and they went by the records shown on the website as his service records were not readable when they were faxed. No matter, we still honor his memory.
This memorial headstone was placed in the Hopson Burleson Cemetery near Fairfield, Texas by gggg-nephew, Marvin Mullen in May of 2012 with help from friends Barry and Paula Snider.
