Carl A. Christensen was born on January 16, 1932 to Albert and Katherine Christensen at Lake Benton, Minn. He attended school at Lake Benton and graduated from the Morris Ag. High Scool in 1949. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1954. Following his discharge from the Navy he farmed near Lake Benton for 10 years and then attended the Nettleton Busines College in Sioux Falls where he became an accountant. He then worked in various locations as an accounant. He was a member of the Lake Benton American Legion Post and the Tyler V.F.W. Post.

Carl died very suddenly on February 11, 1983 at the Vadheim Memorial hospital in Tyler. He had attained the age of 51 year asnd 26 days.

He will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Albert and Katherine Christensen of Lake Benton; 2 brothers, Don and his wife Bernice of Luverne, Minn.; Jim and his wife Marilou of Slayton, Minn.; 6 nieces and nephews, David, Sandra, Brenda, Scott, Julie and Marti. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
