Coalville Notes

Mrs. James B. Staples, aged 62 years, died at her home in east Coalville Sunday afternoon, after a short illness from diabetis. Deceased was a pioneer resident of this locality, being one of the first settlers. She has been an exceptionally hard working woman, and was prominent in the affairs of the community; she was an ardent member of the Mormon church and took an active part in the same. She is survivied by the following children; Bishop J. W. Staples, James, Joseph F., Mrs. Wm. Wheaton, Mrs. Lawrence Wright and Mrs. John Wright, and Mrs. Elwood Gunn.
Funeral services were held at the grave in the city cemetery Wednesday at 1 o'clock, under the Bishopric of the Cluff Ward. W. H. Manning sang two solos, and the speakers were Bp. Stephens of Henefer and Bishop C. R. Jones of Caolville. The opening prayer was offered by Ed. Rees and the closing prayer by John F. Wilde
