Mrs. Brown was born in Sarles, N.D., and had lived in Forest Grove for 58 years. She had performed in a show troupe that traveled though out the Midwest and Canada. She later formed a group called "Stella & The Fellas" that performed at dances in Washington County. Mrs. Brown also played at a dance studio and was a seamstress.
She was a member of the Forest Grove United Church of Christ, Forest Chapter No. 42 of the Order of Eastern Stars, Royal Neighbors of America Rosewood Camp No. 3835, the Delphi Temple No. 13 of Pythian Sisters, Forest Grove Rebekah Lodge No. 44 and Forest Grove Elkettes. She also had volunteered to work on the election board, draft board and other community activities.
Surviving are several nieces.
