Ann was my aunt, sister of my gg grandmother, Clara Wilford Buswell. Ann and her husband Samuel married in 1848 and sailed from Liverpool, England in 1852, arriving in New York on March 31, 1852 aboard the ship Enterprise. Also aboard was their 2 year old daughter, Mary Ann Medbourn.

Ann and her young family first settled in Lorain County, Ohio, with the Buswells and Wilfords. Samuel and Ann's family appears on the 1860 census there. By 1870, the family had moved to Culver. The Buswell, Wilford and Medbourn(e) families migrated at about the same time from the area of Clipston, England, first to Lorain County, Ohio in about 1854 and then to Marmont (Culver) in about 1867.
