LAKE BENTON - Services for Marie Andersen 90, of Lake Benton will be at 2 p.m. today at the Grace Lutheran Church in Lake Benton. Visitation will be at the church today one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Diamond Lake Lutheran Cemetery.
Miss Andersen died on Wednesday, March 13, 1996, at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Tyler.
Marie was born on April 14, 1905, in Drammen Township of Lincoln County, to Chris and Anna (Moeller) Andersen. She attended country school through the eighth grade. She was baptized and confirmed at the Diamond Lake Lutheran Church in Diamond Lake Township. She lived and worked with her brothers on the family farm. In 1968, she moved into Lake Benton and then to the Danebod Village in 1994. She moved into Sunrise Manor Nursing home in Tyler in April of 1995. She was a member of the Diamond Lake Lutheran Church and served as church organist for many years. She was a member of Grace Lutheran WELCA. Her hobbies included playing organ, singing, crocheting, dancing, growing flowers, baking cookies, and traveling, having wintered in Florida and texas for many years.
She is survived by numerous cousins and friends.
She was proceeded in death by her parents and two brothers.
