David, a friendly red-head, grew up in Houston's West End, and his family was a charter member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, and he attended 6th through 8th grades at St. Theresa School. His parents were Anna (nee Green) and Albert G. Ollre, Sr.
David, age 28, was a fireman. He and his wife, Dorothy Nell, were in an automobile struck by a train at Hitchcock, TX at approximately 1:30 a.m. David had massive injuries, and was pronounced dead at John Sealy Hospital. His wife died in the hospital several hours later.
Interment on August 24, 1965.
