She was born in Bloomington, Md., on Jan. 25, 1911, and was the daughter of the late James H. Jones and Daisy B. Coffman. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Anderson; a daughter, Ester V. Kelley; and six brothers and sisters.
She was a member of the Piedmont Pentecostal Holiness Church and the ladies auxiliary of Kelly-Mansfield Post 52 American Legion. Mrs. Anderson is survived by one daughter, Hilda Dawson of Piedmont; 12 grandchildren; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Fredlock Funeral Home, Piedmont, on Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Thomas Brackett and the Rev. Lester Clifford officiating.
Interment will be in the Philos Cemetery.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the Tri-Towns Rescue Squad or Tri-Towns Fire Co.
