"Vernon Guinn, 82, of Chandler, formerly of Kingman, died at 9:30 August 16, 1987. He was born September 5, 1905 in Fountain County, the son of Charley and Lula (Baldridge) Guinn.

He was retired from Hendrickson Automotive after 21 years. He was a member of Covert Avenue Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Bertha (Dye) Guinn; five daughters, Evelyn Atkinson and Sharon Guinn, both of Hammond, Edith Guinn, Chandler, Wilma Sparks of Minnesota and Betty Guinn of Saudi Arabia; a son, Carroll, Chandler; two sisters, Pauline Cook, Covington, and Ruth Bowman, Wallace; one brother, Charley Guinn, Kingman; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were at Bradley Colonial Chapel in Boonville with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery." – Star Tribune, September 18, 1987
