French radio operator died at Roosevelt Field, Westbury, L. I., in the crash of Captain René Fonck's giant Sirkorsky plane. (From Garver Graver and TIME 1936)

Comments received:
My research shows Charles Clavier being killed in an accident on 21 September 1926 in an aborted attempt to win the Orteig Prize.

Too many blanks and entry pendings - but the second newspaper establishes the date of death to be 21 September 1926.

If you have more info on Charles Clavier, it would be appreciated.
