Doris Nadine Willard was born June 21, 1929, in Dade County, Mo., to the late Joseph Perry Richmond and Verna Marie Oliver. She was a graduate of Jasper High School, class of 1947.

Nadine married William "Bill" G. Willard on June 24, 1950, in Eureka Springs, Ark.; he preceded her in death on Dec. 3, 1990.

She worked as a machine operator for Big Smith for 37 years, retiring in 1991. Nadine was a member of the Avilla Methodist Church, Avilla, Mo., an avid gardener and loved being with her family.

Survivors include one daughter, Gail Lawrence (husband Dale), Carthage; and one brother, Kenneth Richmond, Webb City, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Clyde Richmond and Keith Richmond, and four sisters, Pauline Crow, Joyce Sherrill, Ceola Betz, and Elaine Richmond.

Visitation will be held 6-7 p.m. Friday, April 29, at Knell Mortuary. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, April 30, at Center Point Christian Church, Carthage. Minister George Triplett will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Fasken Cemetery, Carthage.
