Died at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. On Nov. 29, 1969, she married David A. Cartwright at St. Catherine's Church in Milwaukee. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, crossword puzzles, word search puzzles, playing electronic solitaire and playing many card games. Carolyn was active in the Trinity Women's Guild and at Living Word Evangelical Lutheran Church in the chili supper and many volunteer activities. Most recently, she had been a sales associate at J.C. Penney from 1995 to the present and a hostess at Chuck's Supper Club from 1985 to 1995. Carolyn was also a faithful member of Living Word Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, David of Waukesha, and her sons, Jeff (Tina) of West Allis and John (dear friend Lori Lutzke) of Waukesha. She was a cherished and loved grandmother of Sawyer; fond sister-in-law of Jean (the late Ray) Dombroe of Brookfield; sister of Joe (dear friend Cynthia Nelson) Kundert of Brodhead, Harold Kundert of Brodhead, Mary (Rick) Ruffer of Pearl City, Ill., Jane (Tim) VanBrocklin of Brodhead and Audrey Weber, also of Brodhead; and dear friend of Tatum Cartwright of Dousman. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her birth mother, Victoria Kundert; adoptive parents, John and Agnes Dombrowski; a brother, Tony; and a sister, Carol.
