Mrs. Alma McCormick
Scott City- Mrs. Alma Idell McCormick, 83 years old, of Scott City, died Tuesday in Shuffitt's Nursing Home Number 1 at Sikeston.
She was born Oct. 17, 1898, in Cape County, a daughter of Solomon and Bertha Ramsey O'Guinn. She married Forrest Columbus McCormick Jan. 11, 1915. He died Jan. 29, 1954.
She was a lifelong resident of Scott City and was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are sons, Percy and Dean McCormick both of Scott City, Forrest McCormick, Belleville, Ill., and David McCormick, Cape Girardeau; daughters, Mrs. Geraldine Jenkins, Fairview Heights, Ill., and Mrs. Janice Williams, Scott City; 24 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Helen Keesee of Scott City, preceded her in death, as did two sons in infancy.
The body is at Amick Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City where friends may call.
Service will be Thursday at 2pm at the funeral home with the Rev. William Dickey, pastor of Illmo United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery near Scott City.
Pallbearers will be Sam and Nelson Jenkins, Steve Keesee, Larry and Brent McCormick, Donnie Henderson, and Forrest Crawford.
