She was born to Ethel LaVerne Shuart and Harry Howard Brown on June 4, 1932 in Elyria, Ohio.
She was a benevolent, self-sacrificing, demure woman of integrity, and a brilliant intellectual with a great thirst for knowledge and truth. She was a voracious reader and researcher of history, philosophy, religion, politics and current events, and enjoyed deep discussions. She majored in history and minored in art history, earning a 4.0 during her college years. She was an exquisite artist who won many awards.
Donna fought a heroic nine-month battle in the hospital, during which time she demonstrated phenomenal will, fortitude and grace.
She is survived by six children: Rebecca Walker, Cynthia Hazelton, Gary (Kris) Hazelton, Clark (Sharon) Hazelton, Mark (Sirena) Hazelton, and Michelle (Kurt) Olaerts-Wood; 30 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren; and four siblings: June Pease, Harry "Buster" (Helen) Brown, Gordon (Linda) Brown and Dale (Judy) Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Ethel Brown, brother-in-law Harlan Pease, son-in-law Chuck Walker and granddaughter Kim Tygum.
Funeral services were held on Friday, September 12, 2008 at Berg Mortuary in Provo, Utah.
Interment took place at East Lawn Memorial Hills, Provo, Utah.
She will be dearly missed and forever loved.
