Edward W. Mihaly, Sr., 38, of 908 Dover Ave., Elsmere Manor, a mechanic with Keil's until his ill ness a year ago, died yesterday at the Veterans Hospital, Elsmere.

Born in Wilmington, son of Alfred and the late Rose Grabkowski Mihaly, he was a graduate of Brown Technical High School and served three years in the Navy during World War II.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his widow, Mrs. Sophie Mihaly; two sons, Edward Jr., 13, and Robert, 5; five sisters, Mrs. Margaret Filliben, Newport; Mrs. Dorothy Herman, Overview Gardens; Mrs. Mary Spoery, Monroe Park; Mrs. Elizabeth Smith, Minquadale, and Miss Janet Mihaly; and one brother William Mihaly, Newark.

Requiem mass will be offered Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in Corpus christi Catholic church, Elsmere. Friends may call tomorrow evening at the Chandler Funeral Home, Delaware Avenue and Jefferson Street. The Rosary will be recited there at 7:30 p.m.
