Published in the Piscataquis (ME) Observer on 22 Mar 1855 p3: "DEATHS---Fell asleep in Christ on Friday, the 9th inst., in Sebec, Data, widow of the late Hiram Gould, in the fifty-sixth year of her age. This mother in Israel professed faith in the Redeemer at an early age---she had set goodly examples before her family and neighbors, and as often as she had opportunity had given public testimony to the reality of religion as might be expected from such a life. Soon the joyful news will come,
Child, your father calls---come home.'"
