He was born Feb. 8, 1936 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Daniel and Beatrice Mayhew Neal. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; his son, Arthur Jr. and his daughter, Kimberly.
Survivors include three sons, Gregory (Vicki) Neal, Rodney Neal and Marcus (Gerri) Neal; one daughter, Trina (Larry) Haas; 12 grandchildren, Nicole, Candice, Joseph, Gregory, Brandi, Daniel, Mark, Rodney, Matthew, Mariah, Cory and Abby and four great-grandchildren, Makaelyn, Marielle, Lucas and Brythan.
He attended Diamond Grade School and Oakwood High School before enlisting in the U.S. Marines and serving his country during the Korean War. He received a Silver Star and a Purple Heart for the injuries he received in combat. He worked as a security guard at Pinkertons for several years.
