Funeral services for Justin Pike, 20, of Carthage were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5 at Don Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel in Carthage. Dr. David Holder and Bernie Tiede officiated. Burial followed in Restland Memorial Park near Carthage under the direction of Don Lipsey Funeral Home. He died Friday evening, Jan. 3 in Rusk County due to injuries received in an automobile accident.
Born July 24, 1976 in Shreveport, La., he was the son of Jimmy Holland Pike and Pamela Jean Register. Justin was a lifetime resident of Panola County, and attended Carthage High School. He was a construction worker.
Survivors include his parents, Jimmy and Pam Pike of Carthage; daughter, Colby Griffith of Gary; sister, Joslyn Pike of Carthage; paternal grandparents, J.C. and Nelene Pike of Carthage; maternal grandparents, Gene and Flora Register of Nacogdoches; a very special friend, Leigh Griffith of Gary; numerous aunts and uncles.
Pallbearers were Jason Ballenger, Ricky Ballenger, Scott Goolsby, Eric Holcomb, Aaron Weaver, and Trent Malone.
