I am Rene Marie Coffelt (Kinnick). Therell was my beloved Grandpa Kinnick, son of John Brazier Kinnick and Fannie May Kinnick (Pope) who died when he was only 6 but remembered her fondly. My grandpa is very much loved and very much missed. He was a father to me, never a cross word, only lots of love and attention. He and grandma took care of me during the week while my mom worked so you could say I was practically raised by them in my younger years. We remained close through the rest of his life. He talked to me often about his Grandpa Pope who he loved so much. He also talked about his life on the farm as a boy and how he would get up early to feed all the animals before going to school. I have an oil painting of the original Pope house located on the 9 acre property where he grew up which also is where the Hatfield Cemetery is located. He is buried alongside his wife, my Grandma, and in between his father and mother.
