Clesson Hill was born to John Frederick Hill and Rachel Dingman.

He married Luella Edith Campfield on 30 Dec 1903 in Clyde, St. Clair, Michigan. They later divorced and he married Nora Elliott.

Clesson and Luella (Lulu) had one son, Allen Eugene Hill.

Funeral services for Clesson Hill, 53 years old, Avondale farmer who died at the veterans’ hospital near Helena last Thursday, were held in the Congregational church at 2 Sunday afternoon. The Rev. Charles Gray Miller officiating at a short service. Burial, with military honors, was in the Glasgow cemetery.
Pallbearers at the services were John Riley, John Sierts, William Hyatt, Fred Cool, Albert Hopke and Howard Russell. Many friends and neighbors from the north country were present. There were numerous floral offerings.
Mr. Hill had been in poor health for more than a year, although pneumonia was the direct cause of his death. He had been in the hospital for about five weeks before his death.
Mr. Hill was born at Kenokee, Michigan, December 20, 1880, a great grandson of Lord and Lady Sparrow of Kilkenny Castle, Ireland. He served in the World war. He was married to Mrs. Nora Taylor, August 5, 1926, and since that time he made Avondale his home. He had taken a prominent part in community activities and was at one time a Democratic candidate for sheriff in Valley county.
Besides the widow, who returned from Helena with the body, a son survives by a former marriage, Allan Hill of Hinsdale. There are also two brothers, Earl and Clyde Hill, who live in Saskatchewan province, Canada. All were present for the services.
Mr. Hill was a member of the Charles C. Carignan post of the American Legion at Opheim and the post color bearers were present at the funeral.
