While a resident of Powhatan Co. Perrin enlisted Feb. 1781 and served two and one half months as private in Capt. Edward Munford's and Thomas Hubbard's companies. Cols. William Maho and Robert Geude's Virginia regiments. He enlisted in May, 1781 and served three months as private in Capt. Edward Munford's company and Col. John Holcombe's Virginia regiment. He enlisted in Sept. 1781 and served until March 1, 1782 in Capt. Robert Hughs' Company, Col. Beverly Randolph's Regiment. He was at the siege and surrender of Yorktown.
