Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Davidson-Duff Funeral Home for Mrs. Leona C. Bailey, 81, who died in a Colorado Springs nursing home Thursday evening, September 18, 1975.
Mrs. Bailey was born March 6, 1894, in Beloit, Kans. She lived in Holton before moving to Topeka in 1926 and lived in Topeka until 1974 when she moved to Colorado Springs.
She was the housemother at the doctors' and nurses' quarters at the Topeka VA Hospital for several years before retiring.
She was a member of the North Topeka Baptist Church and Beulah Chapter No. 34, Order of the Eastern Star.
She was married September 15, 1915, to Edgar Bailey. He preceded her in death October 4, 1935.
Survivors include a son, Burwell Bailey, Colorado Springs; a sister, Mrs. Enda Morrissey, Holton; three grandsons, and a granddaughter.
Burial will be in Holton Cemetery.
