Alline Barker Lafayette, age 72, of Fouke, Arkansas, died Saturday, September 27, 2008, in Texarkana, Arkansas.

Mrs. Lafayette was born December 17, 1935, at Bright Star, Arkansas, and had lived in Fouke for most of her life. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church, was a Homemaker, a professional seamstress, and had been employed at Hancock Fabrics for a number of years.

Survivors include her husband, Vince Lafayette of Fouke, Arkansas, four daughters and sons-in-law, Mickey and Vernon McElroy of DeQueen, Arkansas, Vickie and Mike Drennan, and Lori and Carl Culwell of Fouke, Arkansas, Susan Tipton and Rodney Camp of Jonesboro, Arkansas, two sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Renee Barker and John and Lisa Barker of Texarkana, Texas, five sisters, Betty Brice and Claudine Johnson of Texarkana, Arkansas, Norma Green, Opal Teague, and Faye Clayton of Atlanta, Texas, two brothers, Buster Noble of Blanchard, Louisiana, and John Noble of Waskom, Texas, fifteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Bell.

Funeral services will be at 4:00 P. M. Wednesday at Faith Baptist Church with Rev. Milton White officiating. Burial will be at Concord Cemetery under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas.
