STEPHENVILLE, TX — Ella Martha Altaras, wife of the late Dr. Leon M. Altaras, passed away on Tuesday Sept. 23, 2008, in Stephenville.

She was born in Cleburne on Dec. 27, 1918, to Arnold Rudolph and Ella White Wrba. At the time of her death she was a resident of Good Tree Retirement Community.

Dr. and Mrs. Altaras were long time residents of Stephenville, where Dr. Altaras was a family practice physician for thirty-three years. Martha was his office manager and receptionist the last ten years of his practice. She was preceded in death by son, Michael.

Survivors include sons, David of Addison, and Ronald of Hico; she is also survived by a sister, Mary Posey of Hearne, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A private family service will be held at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a favorite charity.
