MOUNT ANGEL, March 2, (Special)--Funeral services for Sister Mary Agnes Butsch, 72, who made her religious profession in the Order of St. Benedict more than 55 years ago, will be conducted Tuesday at 9 A.M. in the chapel of the Convent Queen of Angels here. Sister Agnes died Saturday morning.
Born January 12, 1870, at South Bend, Ind., she came with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mathew Butsch, to this district, one of the first families to settle here. For many years she had taught at parochial schools at Oregon City, Grande Ronde and in other cities.
Surviving are a sister, Sister Whilmina Butsch, O.S.B., Mount Angel, and a brother Mathew Butsch, in Australia.
