Duane A. Wallner, age 51, of Plainfield, passed away Saturday morning, Sept. 27, 2008, at his home, with his family at his side.

He was born Oct. 6, 1956, in Wild Rose, the son of Donald D. and Dorothy L. (Johnson) Wallner. He married Joan G. Woyak on Oct. 20, 1979, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Plainfield.

Duane was a 1974 graduate of Tri-County High School and a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and hobby farming for the deer. He most enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Wallner, Plainfield; two sons, Christopher Wallner and AJ Wallner, both of Plainfield; his beloved grandson, Hayden C. Wallner, Plover; his parents, Donald and Dorothy Wallner, Plainfield; brothers and sisters, Warren Wallner, Bancroft, Donna (James) Potter, Bayfield, Joan (Bob) Sullivan, Hancock, Bill (Sharon) Wallner, Ripon; mother-in-law, Jan Woyak, Bancroft; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jack Woyak, Bancroft, Julie (Dale) Craig, Plainfield, Janine (Jeff) Schwartzman, Hancock; further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Plainfield.

Burial was in the parish cemetery.
