Floyd Orren Clowe, 93, Topeka, died Monday, Sept. 7, 1998, at a Topeka nursing home.
Mr. Clowe worked for the Kansas Department of Revenue for 24 years. He served in the Army during World War II as a Pfc Co. E. 137th Infantry, 35th Infantry Division. He received a Purple Heart Medal and Oak Leaf Cluster Medal.
He was born March 1, 1905, in Circleville, the son of Francis M and Ida Belle Cattrell Clowe. He was graduated from Circleville High School in 1927.
He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, VFW Post No 1650 and a former member of Moose Lodge No. 555, all in Topeka.
He married Anna Irene McAsey on Sept 22, 1945, in Holton. She survives.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am Friday at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church in Holton. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Holton. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton, visitation will follow.
Memorial contributions may be made to Assumption Catholic Church in Topeka or to St. Dominic’s Catholic Church in Holton.
