George Everard, 76, was buried Tuesday in the family plot in the Silver City cemetery, following his death Saturday, resulting from a brief illness. He was a resident of Silver City and Grant county for the past 45 years, coming from New York as a youth to start a black smith shop in this area. He worked at his trade for many years, achieving renown as an excellant black smith and horse shoeer, during an age when such a vocation was of great importance. He had been retired for the past few years. Survivors include a son, Robert G. Everard, of this city, and a daughter, Mrs. Rhue Estes, of California, and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held in the Elks lodge room proceeding burial. All arrangements were under the direction of Cox mortuary.
