Frances Henrietta Farmer, 75, of Brighton died January 15 at her home on Plum Street. She was born March 10, 1896 in Jersey County, the daughter of William P. & Catherine (Mohr) Coleman. Her husband was the late John Farmer. She is survived by 7 daughters, Mrs. Ruth St. Peters, Mrs. Thomas (Dorothy) Baker and Mrs. Charles (Betty) Lake of Brighton, Mrs. Sedwin (Mary) Geisler of Medora, Miss Margaret McCauley and Mrs. Homer (Edna) Bounds of Shipman and Mrs. George (Frances) Gabriel of Alton; 2 sons James and William McCauley of Brighton; 24 grandchildren; 20 g-grandchildren; 9 step grandchildren; 1 sister, Mrs. Ellen Mulligan of Alton; and 1 brother, William Coleman of Jerseyville. Visitation was held at Jacoby-Wise funeral home in Shipman where the rosary was recited on Sun. Funeral mass was celebrated Tuesday at St. Denis church in Shipman with Father John Sheahan celebrant. Interment was in Oak Grove cemetery.
