James Thomas McGuyer, 90, of Mineral Wells
Services for James Thomas McGuyer, 90, of Mineral Wells, will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 22, in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel, with burial in the Sturdivant Cemetery. Rev. R. B. Shiflet will officiate with Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. McGuyer died April 20, 1995, at a local hospital. He was born February 26, 1905, at Belton, the son of Lewis A. and Martha E. Nolen McGuyer.

He married Loline L. Shields, and she preceded him in death October 21, 1990. He worked in the oilfield 20 years, owned and operated McGuyer's Radiator Shop in Mineral Wells for about 15 years. He retired from Southern Airways in 1970.

McGuyer came to Mineral Wells in 1946, and he was a member of the 11th Ave. Church.

Survivors include his sons, Charles McGuyer, of Mineral Wells; Russell McGuyer, of Casper, WY; and Jimmy McGuyer, of Gulfport, MS; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
