Vicki L. Turner, 50, passed from this life to be with the Lord on December 4, 2004 following a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer. Born October 5, 1954 in Oceanside, California, Vicki was the proud mother of four children. A phlebotomist, Vicki worked at Baptist Medical Center for approximately fifteen years until her illness. Times with her family were cherished events for Vicki. She loved just being together, building memories that could be brought forward to enjoy again and again. She loved her grandchildren, music and gardening. Vicki was a member of First Christian Church of Midwest City, Oklahoma. As she grew weaker in body her spirits seemed to shine brighter and brighter and she was an inspiration to us all. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence George and Maribell. She is survived by her children, Shelly Burkley and her husband Cedric, Raquel Coley and husband Ben, Justin Turner and Chad Turner. Her grandchildren, Felicia and CJ Burkley, Chelsea, Caleb, Colin and Abigail Coley, Alyssa and Justin Turner, Jr. Vicki was survived also by five brothers and three sisters, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Vicki will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family is deeply grateful to Crossroads Hospice caregivers: Carlos, Rosemary, DeAnna, Tresa, Lisa, Adrian, and Dana; and to Dr. Dennis Parker and Dr. Gregory Parker and Beth for all of the loving support and kindness provided to Vicki. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the "Out reach program at the 1st Christian Church of Midwest City." Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at First Christian Church of Midwest City, Oklahoma, 11950 East Reno, at 2:00 PM., with burial at Arlington Memory Gardens.
