George Gene Holley passed away at his residence, after a brief illness in Springtown, with his family at his side.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Holley of Springtown, TX, Mother, Lois Holley of Sweeny. Sister, Katie Sanderson of Sweeny. One son, George Gerry Holley (Denise) of Angleton, Two daughters, Liane Pena (Raymond)of Lake Jackson and Sonya Charlena Holley of Alvin. Grandchildren, Amanda Pena, Aaron Pena, of Lake Jackson, Randy Holley, Samantha Holley of Angleton and Eric Shelby of Alvin. One Stepson, Tracy Spivey of McGregor, TX
George served in the Marine Corp and served during the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his Father, George Russell Holley and Sister Billie Krupa, both of Axtell, Texas. Both were buried in Axtell cemetary in Axtell, Texas.
Services were held in Sprngtown, TX. He was cremated. He loved fishing the Gulf, so his ashes were scattered in the Gulf of Mexico near Freeport.
