Dr. B. S. "Burton" Slater, a dentist of Marshall, ended his life here early Monday morning, June 23rd, by burning himself to death. He filled a large box with excelsior, and waste paper, saturated with oil and wood alcohol, crowled into the box and set fire to the excelsior and paper.
Dr. Slater is survived by his wife and three children, who left Thursday for Kansas City where they will make their future home.
The remains were interred in the Marshall Cemetery Monday under the auspices of the Masonic lodge, of which he was a member - Lego Lodge No. 152 Kansas.
