There remains a mystery about George's parents and ancestry. Was he born a Juckett or a Hawks? One family story says he was born with the surname Juckett, his parents died when he was very young, and he was subsequently raised by an aunt with the surname Hawks. No birth record or corroborating evidence (family bible, probate records, etc.) has been found to-date. Can you help answer the mystery? Email [email protected] and we'll update this bio.
