Huldah Penelope (Root) Kellogg was the daughter of Albert and Huldah (Cartwright) Root. She was the 1st wife of Loring Grant Kellogg. They were married November 12, 1836. Huldah was the mother of Rev. Royal Jasper Kellogg. He was a Local Preacher in the Genesee Conference (now Western New York) Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He later became a minister in the Congregational Church.
