Her husband, George Riley Fink, joined the Union army in Cassville, Barry County, Missouri, 1 July 1863 - Pvt, Co I, 1st Ark. Infantry.

He was captured and sent to Camp Ford, Tyler, Texas, the largest Confederate prison camp west of the Mississippi, where he died under what circumstances no one can tell.
